Parole / Probation story

The FALLACY of the tether as I see it, is it relies on Convicted Felons, to be honest in where they are going, what they are going to do etc. Yes, you spot check to see if they went where they said they were, ask for verifications etc...but it doesn't STOP them from leaving. Is the Felons mouth moving? --They are lying. Who WOULDN'T try to get away with some extra time? Even if it is just a normal stop at a fast food place--but that is not supposed to happen. TO and FROM destination only! Yah Right. The need for coffee, cigs, and a grease bomb is too much.
One offender I had on "the teller", was forced to serve the gang as a drug dealer because THEY KNEW HE WOULD BE HOME!!

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- The Oakland County sheriff says a major drug dealer who was wearing an electronic tether from an earlier criminal case was arrested for trying to buy 2.2 pounds of cocaine in a police sting.

Michael Bouchard says the 26-year-old convicted felon was arrested about noon Tuesday in Auburn Hills. Bouchard says the man was trying to buy the cocaine for $23,500.

Bouchard says the suspect was armed with a .45-caliber semiautomatic handgun. The sheriff says officers later seized other drugs, several weapons and drug scales and paraphernalia from the suspect's home in Flint.
