Suicide

Another student whacked himself. Hung himself. Last one shot out his guts with a shotgun.Less than a month ago. This one was a Junior in High School. I feel incredibly bereft.

I feel your pain. I was a youth minister and had a student shoot himself. It is sad. I cried for months. The church game me no support what so ever. One of the elders said, "Why did this happen if we had a youth minister?" I felt rejected by the church and God. I was angry at God and ran from God for almost 18 months. Did everything I could to rebel. Then God found me again. I am striving to reach out to the emerging generation who needs Jesus Christ. I want you to know that my prayers are with you and these families.

Suicide is the worst, for so many reasons. Losing two friends to suicide and then being a therapist, I can honestly say that the my heart aches as it is the worst crime against one's self and the ones that they leave.
